Our Mission

The International Business Association (IBA)  is commited exposing students  to the international environment by providing guest speakers, conferences, social events, cultural events, and other educational activities. As a member of Student Organizations at Hofstra University, IBA participates in on-campus and off-campus activities and events, helps fundraise money, and co-operates with other organizations to enhance Hofstra University students experience. Our members are driven and ambitious students seeking to become well-rounded members of the global business environment. The International Business Association is open to students of all majors, and welcomes new members at our weekly meeting in CV Starr 209 during common hour."


Our History
IBA was formed in 2005, and was restructured in Fall of 2008. In the past IBA has conducted fundraisers, participated in volunteer programs, and provided trips and educational experiences for its members.  Under new leadership, IBA has managed to gain increasing number of members, co-host a student-run career fair, and has big plans for the 2009-2010 academic year.
 
Want to join IBA?
In order to be an active member, you must attend our weekly meetings held during common hour in Room 209 of C.V Starr. Active members have many privileges, which include first access to IBA funded events, and will always be included in any trip or event planned. For those of you who can not attend during our meeting time, you can still be an active member if you speak with an E-board member and participate in our events.
